Samantha Mulder is, of course, Fox Mulder's sister and the catalyst for the entire series.An unnecessary comment: There are no less than a billion X-Files sites, and it blows our tiny minds that before a year ago when we amateurs came along, there were no sites dedicated to Megan Leitch. In addition to The X-Files, she has also appeared (once again as a specific version of a very important character, mass-murderer Linea), on Stargate SG-1, another incontrovertible Sci-Fi classic. She has also appeared in countless plays and has been nominated for various prestigious awards. So what's up? We still have hope for society; we attribute this to pure chance.
Wolf Kahler Online Another icon, this actor is someone even our grandmother knows, not only from Raiders of the Lost Ark, but nearly every American WWII movie that has been at the theater or on television in the last two decades. Some of you may not know his name, but all of you know his face. Don't even joke about this. But if you do, it's probably okay, since "the Man" himself has a sense of humor: he appeared in a Kohler sink commercial.
3: TIER8.COM SUB-DOMAINS - "OTHER":
Molly Parker Fansite Molly Parker is another of our favorites because she appears only in movies we think are very special. However, she already has at least one comprehensive fansite that we know of, and since we don't have HBO we know absolutely nothing about the series Deadwood. So, our Molly Parker site is more of a complement site, complement meaning here "in addition to" rather than "completing the circle." At this point it consists of screen caps from two movies, Iron Jawed Angels and Max.
Jill Hennessy Picture Fansite To be quite frank, we know nothing about Jill Hennessy other than the empirically-derived impressions we have formed by watching Law & Order. This, along with the fact that her fans already have a handful of great Jill Hennessy sites, makes our inclusion of her here somewhat out of place. We are in the process of moving her site to Tier8.net, but technical, search-engine-related problems are making this somewhat difficult. Just to be clear, this is not a reflection of her as a person: like I was saying, Tier8.com is reserved for those who had little www exposure in addition to being our favorites.
4: THE BEST ACTOR WHO EVER LIVED:
Gary Oldman Fansite - still under construction So far, our Gary Oldman fansite is very small, containing only screen caps from State of Grace. We are in the process of expanding this site, but as much as we recognize his talent, we admit that it's hard to get motivated about this site because anything we could conceive of doing would be unjust, due to his superior talent, and do to the fact that there are already so many Gary Oldman sites. Gary Oldman is a chameleon: he's magical. I've never seen a Gary Oldman performance where I thought of him as Gary Oldman. Each time, I think that "he" is a different person, that "he" IS the character.
Not a very good description, but it's early and I haven't had my coffee yet.
Ralph Fiennes Fansite At this point our Ralph site is a couple hundred screen caps from Schindler's List, and we're hesitant about making additions from other movies because he gives a bad guy like Amon Goeth a special depth like no other actor we've seen. We think this is very important, especially in the United States today, where the trend is for us normal citizens to make ourselves feel better by thinking of people as either bad or good, good being "us" of course, and bad meaning anyone we can poke fun at to raise ourselves up because deep down we know we're not living up to the standards we pretend to live up to. Let me just introduce the absurd hypothetical that if someone who looked like Ralph Fiennes burned my house down, I'd still play tennis with him. Let me also introduce the hypothetical that "hypothetical" would make a good noun.
